HOW TO GUIDE TODAY'S YOUTH TO THE RIGHT PATH
Children are
becoming more independent. They love to form their own views. This is a good
thing, but it is the duty of parents to ensure that their child is not on the
path of evil but on the path of righteousness. Parents are often confused about
what to allow and not allow their children. There is the fact that if you keep
them away from the internet or their friends, they will use them behind your
back, which is worse than them doing these things under your supervision.
Eventually, your
parenting methods will be a personal choice, but we here believe that there are
certain things you need to do for your child. Providing them with Quran lessons
is one of those things. It is your duty to sign them up for classes and then
their duty to follow the Quran.
Especially if you
reside in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and
Canada, your children are more prone to being involved in haram practices. You
can do little about it if you do not have local Quran lessons available.
However, we are going to guide you
to how Quran lessons are learn Quran online will help your family.
1)
Sign them up for Quran lessons
Signing
up for Quran lessons is the push that today's youth needs. Quran will inform
them of the correct way to do things. It will help them see the light and guide
them to the path of righteousness.
Moreover,
these young adults and children can use their time on the internet in a more
productive way if they sign up for
Quran lessons online. Many young children lose their way because of the
haram content that the internet gives them access to. These children can
instead make use of the internet for their mental and physical wellbeing.
There
are excellent Quran lessons available at learn Quran online for people who want
to read, memorize, or even learn how to teach Quran. You can look at the other
courses they offer on their website. It would be a great idea to start by
taking some online Quran lessons with Tajweed.
2)
Take Quran lessons online as a family
If
you are worried about your child and you need them to be better Muslims, you
should try to put in the effort to be better yourself, too, instead of just
instructing your kids to do things. Firstly, this way, you might be able to see
the light and realize that you can make improvements in your parenting. The
Quran can guide you more on that. Allah SWT has said in the Quran that: And We
sent down the book to you for the express purpose that you should make clear to
them those things in which they differ, and so that it should be a guide and
mercy to those who believe". (16:64).
And
also:
"Verily,
We have revealed the book to you in truth for instructing mankind. He that
receives guidance benefits his own soul, but he that strays injure his own
soul". (39:41).
Secondly,
taking online Quran lessons with
Tajweed can help improve your relationship with your children as you both
can talk about your progress and what new you learned. You can also help each
other and use the time to bond. Learn Quran online offers courses for people of
all ages who possess different levels of knowledge about the Quran and Tajweed.
They offer online Quran lessons for kids and adults both.
3)
Encourage dhikr
Dhikr
is the remembrance of Allah SWT. When you remember Allah SWT, you remember what
he ordered you to do, and then you are prone to working on it. Encourage the
young people to do dhikr before starting a test, before sleeping, after
praying, at different times of the day. Plus they can earn an extra reward from
it.
Allah
SWT said in the Quran: "O you who believe! Remember Allāh with much
remembrance." (Al-Ahzab 33:41)
And:
"Those
who remember Allāh (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down
on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the
earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without
purpose. Glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You
as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire." (Al Imran
3:191)
4)
Talk about Islamic history and recall stories
Storytelling
is an excellent form of communication. It gives you a lesson to remember, and
it engages the audience. It is important for today's youth to understand how
Islam brought the Arabs out of the dark times and brought about rights for
women, ended discrimination, and established rules for warfare, and much more.
Many
young people in the West especially are scared to identify as Muslims. Their
fear is valid as Muslims are usually associated with terrorism. However, if
these young people are informed about their rich heritage, about how learned
their ancestors were, they would feel nothing but pride and be good Muslims.
5)
Tell them about the rewards
There
is an immense reward for learning
the Quran online. There is also an endless reward for following through
with it. In fact, following through it will land you straight into heaven. Tell
your children about how the shortest time of recitation can give them so many
benefits. There are several Hadith that talk about the reward associated with
the recitation of the Quran. It is said: "[Whoever recites a letter] from
Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the
like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter,
Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter."(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910)
When
young people see that Islam is so simple, easy, and natural, they will be
unbothered by worldly problems and will be more close to becoming a better
Muslim.
